Hooper body N° 7293 sent right The Rolls-Royce Phantom I was introduced in 1925 as the successor to the Silver Ghost. Like its predecessor, the Phantom was built in both Great Britain (Derby) and the USA (Springfield, Mass.). The introduction of the American model was always one year behind the British one. The follow-up always took place two years later. This Phantom was originally called 40/50 New Phantom and was called Phantom I after the introduction of its successor, the Phantom II. An important improvement compared to the Silver Ghost was the new inline-six engine. At the time it was among the cream of the crop. This 7668 cc I6 was very suitable to move the large and heavy Phantom. The top speed was around 145 km/h. Differences between the British and American versions include the wheelbase. The base length was 3644.9mm for both but the long wheelbase models were longer at 3822.7mm in the UK than the 6721.1mm in the US. Furthermore, the British models had a four-speed gearbox while the American ones had a three-speed gearbox. Ultimately, 2,269 units were built in the UK, 1,243 in the US. - Wheelbase: 366 cm - Engine: 6 cylinder in-line 7668 cc, front - 12 overhead valves - 1 RR carburetor - 96 hp at 2750 rpm

A (static) bid means you are placing a one-time bid of your choosing. The bid must be equal or higher than the next possible bid, indicated on the lot page. If successful, you are now the highest bidder.
An Automatic bid gives you the option of deciding the maximum bid that you are willing to place and lets the system work for you. It will automatically place the next bid, taking the minimum bid step into account. When you are outbid, it will automatically place a new bid, until your limit is reached or until no new bids are being placed.
You can track your bids on the ‘’my bids” section under the ‘My Auctim’ menu. You will always receive an email when you are outbid, or when the auction ends with you as the highest bidder.
In the event that a lot has ten or less minutes remaining and a new bid is placed, the remaining time to bid will be extended by five minutes. This continues until there are no more bids in the final ten minutes. This is done to counteract illegal programs that automatically place bids at the last possible second.

Lots offered under definite adjudication are automatically assigned to the highest bidder. There is no reserve pricing or judicial decision to be made.
Lots offered under temporary adjudication have a reserve price, or are subject to judicial supervision. After the auction ends, all lots will be individually awarded to the highest bidder, or withheld.
Reserve prices are often unknown to the Auctim partner, and depend on individual value as well as total auction revenue, which is why these lots can only be processed after the auction ends. If the reserve pricing IS known, the lot will automatically change to ‘definite adjudication’ as soon as the highest bid reaches this threshold.
Certain withheld lots can be offered again in the future, entirely depending on the seller. Auctim partners will always negotiate with the seller to assign as many lots as possible.
Lots that are part of a combination are offered individually first. When all lots in the combination are closed, the combination will open for bids for 60 minutes. The opening bid of this combination is the total of the individual lots increased by 10%.
